Instead of install backtrack repositories in Ubuntu I highly recommend installing Backtrack 5 and activating Ubuntu repositories in it, and here is how you do it (thanks to
boodoo of Ubuntu community)
- Change the password if you have not already done so
- apt-get install synaptic
- In synaptic select the ubuntu 10.04 repositories
- apt-get update
- apt-get upgrade
- And done, you now have Ubuntu 10.04 repositories in your Backtrack 5 installation. How ever you have to remember since Backtrack 5 is build on Ubuntu 10.04 you won't be getting unity or anything else introduced in Ubuntu 11.04
- If you so choose you can install software-center to help with application installation.
